Lauren Davisson is a speech therapist in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, offering a range of speech therapy and language learning therapy services for children.
I completed my degree in Speech Therapy at the University of Pretoria where I did my dissertation on feeding principles in children with Cerebral Palsy. I did my community service year at Johannesburg Metro Clinics, and thereafter spent time abroad in Korea teaching English.
Upon returning to South Africa, I worked in remedial schools, special needs schools and a multi-disciplinary therapy centre in Johannesburg. I am currently doing my Master’s Degree in Augmentative and Alternative Communication at the University of Pretoria.
I have a passion for working with children and embrace the opportunity to see the world through their eyes. I value the opportunity to empower children with communication skills, whether it be due to a speech and language delay or to a special needs condition.
